Our Story

Why Families Choose Stillo Embers

Founder-Led, Clinically Guided Care
Stillo Embers is owned and operated by Chad Falgout and Christine Kerns, MSW, whose combined expertise shapes every aspect of the home. Christine brings decades of experience in trauma-informed care and regulatory systems, while Chad contributes over 25 years in construction, safety, and home design. Together, they provide hands-on leadership that ensures care is both clinically excellent and intentionally designed for safety, comfort, and dignity.

Small by Design
With a maximum of six residents, our low resident-to-caregiver ratio allows for truly personalized, attentive care.

Evidence-Based Approach
Our care is grounded in current clinical best practices and supported by ongoing training and continuous quality improvement.

A Real Home, Not a Facility
Stillo Embers is designed to feel like home—offering comfort, familiarity, and dignity in an environment where residents can truly feel at ease.

Our Purpose

At Stillo Embers, we are committed to creating a space where residents feel safe, respected, and truly cared for. Every detail of our home—our practices, our staffing, and our environment—is guided by the belief that care should be both high-quality and deeply compassionate.

Founder’s Perspective

“Care doesn’t have to be loud to be powerful. It just has to be consistent, intentional, and steady presence people can trust.”

— Christine Kerns, MSW
